| IMPORTANT: In
all cases below, please ensure that when you check these features, you are using
your email address that you will (or are) using with your Liberty Northwest

that intended won't work. There is one way around this. See

Accessing the
Archives |
| . |
| Since Liberty Northwest is currently being
hosted by ezmlm software, we do not have the capability for web site
archive support or retrieval. The archives can only be currently accessed via
email only. In the future we may be upgrading to other alternatives. This is the
best web based support we can offer right now. So, for now the
following is recommended to obtain archived messages: |
| . |
| First:
Get an index of messages listing author and subject line. This will give you an
exact message number (which you will need later), as well as the author or
subject you wish to retrieve. No message bodies will appear, only message
number, author's name, and subject line.
Second:
Send a request for the specific messages you wish to review, based upon the
above information. Please follow closely the guidelines below to make this
a little less painless. |
| . |
|
Step # 1:
Requesting an Index of Authors and Subjects |
| . |
| (Index will list in blocks of
100 each, but each request will be for a list of 500, so you will receive five
sets of 100 each). The months are approximated, since dates overlap. This is in
approximate chronological order: |
| . |
| . |
|
Now... Step
#2: Requesting the messages... (Two ways to do it) |
| . |
| You may choose to go directly to
libnw in email to get the actual message, requesting specific message
numbers. If you choose that method, see the paragraph directly
below. On the other hand, you can view the actual messages on the web by
clicking on the month/year, without resorting to email requests. Keep in mind
however that you will receive all of the messages for each entire month!
If you are looking for only 1 or 2 messages, you might opt to email request
them. If you want the entire month to look at the contexts of certain
messages, the best way is to simply click on the year/month below.
Prior to July
2002 Click
Here

| AUGUST | SEPTEMBER
| OCTOBER | NOVEMBER

| FEBRUARY | MARCH
| APRIL |
The Other Way:
Requesting specific messages directly via email: (Note:
If you are looking for messages prior to June 2002 click
here).
Very carefully, select the
message number, author and/or subject and date. Keep in mind the message
number then, send an
outgoing message to: libnw-get.[message
numbers]@immosys.com (message numbers: insert the numbers you desire).
These will be the actual messages, so limit your request to the number of
messages and time frame you are looking for. Of course, you can change the
number of your request for one message or up to 100. That's your choice. ONLY
click on the above libnw-get messages and then add your own message number(s)
you wish to retrieve. The limit is 100 for each request.
You can also request
"subject line" messages, but this is generally unrealiable, since
threads often change subject lines depending upon an author's choice at any
given time. To attempt this retrieval, address a message to:
libnw--thread.[subject line]@immosys.com
Again, this probably won't be entirely reliable most of the time. However, by
retrieving an "index" of the segments above, you can generally track
down messages that have switched subject lines. Warning: This may take
some time.
It is highly recommended that in
your search you first request an index file for the period you are searching for
BEFORE requesting for individual messages. Trust me, you won't know what you are
looking for until you do that. Using the index, you can also work with
time blocks to narrow down your choices even further. |

| Alternate
Email Address Subscriptions |
| Liberty Northwest
Conference allows you to manage "subscribe" or "unsubscribe"
functions from an alternate email address. This is a manual, non-automated
operation. |
| The following is
taken directly from ezmlm instructions. If you need help, contact the Moderator.
Otherwise: |
| . |
|
Subscribing a
remote address
You can start a subscription for
an alternate address, for example "john@host.domain",
just add a hyphen and your address (with '=' instead of '@') after the command
word: <libnw-subscribe-john=host.domain@immosys.com>.
Unsubscribing a
remote address
To stop subscription for this
address, mail: <libnw-unsubscribe-john=host.domain@immosys.com>
Other commands:
For other commands...
I don't recommend using the
above for remote use such as lists or archives etc. Use your imagination if you
are inclined to try! It may, or may not work. More trouble, in my opinion, than
it is probably worth. Try and use your own email subscribed address whenever
possible. That will work almost 100 percent of the time! |
